Composites

Experience Leads to Excellence

Oneida’s team has experience with high profile composite builds – component manufacturing where strength and weight requirements are taken to a whole new level. These decades of experience translate directly into higher-quality parts for our customers.

Tooling & Molds

Get started on the right track with precise, high-caliber tooling ready to be used in production settings. Oneida manufactures tooling and molds for in-house production and for builders who choose to fabricate their own production parts.

Production Components

When quality matters, Oneida is the choice. Our experience allows us to tackle complicated jobs and mass production with ease. Whether it’s a large-scale fabrication, complex shape, or project with high cosmetic standards, we are ready.

Entire Assemblies

In addition to engineering and manufacturing individual composite parts, we pride ourselves on fabricating entire assemblies complete with Oneida stainless steel components, instruments, accents, and more already installed.

Custom Parts

Not every project needs to be a high-production run. Oneida’s skills in solving complex issues make us a natural choice for prototyping and proof-of-concept projects. In-house expertise allows us to create parts for custom projects while keeping costs low.

Prototypes to mass production.

Manufacturing Methods

Manufacturing Methods

Oneida manufactures composite components using open and closed molding. While the manufacturing methods differ based on the priorities of the build, our procedures optimize material bonding. Strict tolerances on resin percentages and proper wet-out minimize voids and maximize strength.

  • Infusion
  • Wet Layup
  • Prepreg
  • Vacuum Processing

Additional capabilities include post-mold painting, performed in Oneida’s in house paint booth and able to please our most discerning clients.

Finish and Coating Options at Oneida EPI

Material Options

Oneida boosts component design through smart laminate schedules. Fabrics, reinforcements and orientations are used strategically to meet project specifications and create parts that are both strong and lightweight.

  • E-Glass
  • Other Standard Fiberglasses
  • Carbon Fiber
  • Aramid Fibers

Our experienced engineers and technicians understand the traits of each fabric and how to avoid common pitfalls that lead other manufacturers to composites with delamination and unnecessary bulk.

Resin Systems

Resin Systems

Different resin systems are used to meet the performance, weight, and strength demands of each project. Knowing that many of our components are subjected to harsh environmental concerns, we prioritize an added focus on durability and UV resistance to create parts with longevity.

  • Vinyl Ester Resins
  • Phenolic Resins
  • Epoxy Resins

Our expertise can be seen and tested.  With cosmetic properties that make other manufacturers green with envy, our proven techniques create engineered, repeatable results.

Unsurpassed Quality

Hard tops, consoles, structural components, interiors…
